DEV-102091 New authentication settings for use with Open Authentication (OAuth) Several new authentication settings are available to implement OAuth login capability for Android and iOS handheld users. To configure these settings, you must be a Level 0 user. OAuth is an open-standard authorization protocol, or framework that specifies how unrelated servers and services can safely allow authenticated access to their assets without actually sharing the initial, related, single logon credential. This is known as secure, third-party, user-agent, delegated authorization. In the OAuth environment, access tokens are issued to a Commure Pro user’s mobile device by an authorization server. The token is used during the OAuth process to grant users access to the Commure Pro application. In addition, the Authentication Settings screen layout has been redesigned into two sections that contain settings for Portal and Handheld configuration. To access the settings:
  1. On the Commure Pro Admin tab, select Institution.
  2. In the Edit Settings field, select Authentication. For more information, see Authentication Settings.
