If your organization has implemented the Heath Information Exchange (HIE) option, then you can see the source from which your patients’ clinical data was derived on the Summary and Detail screens of most of the clinical modules, as described below. For example, if your organization shares data with other organizations in your area, then you could see from which organization a particular item, such as a clinical note, a lab result, or an allergy, was derived.
  • The Summary screen of the following modules displays Source on each clinical result’s row, if this feature is enabled in your user profile: Allergies, Clinical Notes, Lab Results, Medications, Order Status, and Test Results.
  • On the Detail screens, the exact location of the Source field varies by module, but it is usually located near the top or bottom of the screen, in the modules below:
    • Allergies: Near the top, just below the allergy name.
    • Clinical Notes: Near the top, just below the note name.
    • CPOE Orders: Near the bottom of the screen.
    • Lab Results: For a specific component, on the Details tab, as the last field on the screen.
    • Medications: On the Detail tab, as the last field on the screen.
    • Order Status: Near the top, just below the Status or Department Status field.
    • Problem List: At the bottom, as the last field on the screen. Those problems that are entered directly in the Commure Pro system using the Problem List module, Charges module (when entering a charge), CPOE Orders module (when entering an order), or Clinical Notes module (when entering a clinical note), always have a source of “MANUALLYADDED.”
    • Test Results: Near the top, just below the test name.
    • Vital Signs: On the Detail tab, as a column next to each reading.
