ANDROID-2994 Open Authorization (OAuth) support for Android
Setting Change: No
Min. Server Req’d: 9.2.0.2.39
Open Authorization (OAuth) is supported in this release of Android. Commure Pro integrates with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) to provide this level of security for mobile users. When OAuth is enabled for Commure Pro Android users, login screens and workflows for Basic and Advanced Mode are slightly different than in previous releases. An Identity Provider (IDP) validates a user’s login request by means of an authorization server. To access Commure Pro, an OAuth user is directed to the URL of the authorization server and prompted to enter a username and password on a sign in web page. The user is then redirected to Commure Pro.
Android fingerprinting capability is NOT supported when OAuth is enabled.
Additional authentication requirements are also configurable, such as token codes generated from an authentication app, which can be installed on Android devices.
For more information on OAuth settings, see the topic Authentication Settings in the portal online Help.
