# Ambient AI

> Personalize how AI generates clinical notes, review provider feedback, and query patient data — all from the Commure Pro web portal.

**Ambient AI** in Commure Pro uses AI-powered speech recognition to turn patient encounters into structured clinical notes. On the web portal, Ambient AI is your control center for shaping how those notes are generated, reviewing the feedback providers leave on them, and querying patient data with conversational AI.

While recording happens on the iOS and Android apps, the web portal is where you configure note generation, manage AI settings across your templates, and access the broader AI toolkit — **AI Studio**, **Clinical Copilot**, **AI Summary**, and the **AI User Feedback** dashboard.

## What You Can Do on the Web Portal

## Personalizing Note Generation

[AI Studio](/classic/ambient_ai/ai-studio) is the hub for tailoring how Ambient AI writes your notes. Configure your preferences once and they apply every time the AI generates a note for you:

## How Notes Improve Over Time

Ambient AI gets better the more you use it. There are two complementary paths:

* **Smart Suggestions** — the AI watches how you edit your notes and proactively proposes reusable settings (such as personal dictionary corrections and dot phrases). You review each one in [AI Studio](/classic/ambient_ai/smart-suggestions) and click **Approve** to apply it to future scribes.
* **Provider feedback** — providers rate notes with a thumbs up or thumbs down and an optional comment. Administrators review these from the [AI User Feedback](/classic/ambient_ai/ai-user-feedback) dashboard, and the Commure team uses them to improve note quality across the platform.

  For recurring style preferences — such as always using bullet points in the Plan section — configure [Custom Formatting](/classic/ambient_ai/custom-formatting) rules so the AI applies them automatically, rather than relying on repeated feedback.

## Querying Patient Data

Beyond note generation, the web portal includes conversational AI for understanding a patient's clinical context:

* **[Clinical Copilot](/classic/ambient_ai/clinical-copilot)** lets you ask natural-language questions about a patient's chart and returns structured, source-cited answers drawn from labs, vitals, notes, medications, and orders.
* **[AI Summary](/classic/ambient_ai/ai-summary)** consolidates key clinical data into a single structured overview so you can orient yourself on a patient quickly.
