# AI Studio

> Customize how Ambient AI generates and formats your clinical notes from the web portal.

**AI Studio** is your control center for tailoring how Ambient AI produces notes. On the web portal, AI Studio is available directly from the **top navigation bar**.

## What You Can Configure

AI Studio provides several tools for personalizing your documentation workflow:

## Accessing AI Studio

Click **AI Studio** in the top navigation bar. The AI Studio page opens with the sidebar on the left showing Custom Formatting, Personal Dictionary, Dot Phrases, and Smart Suggestions.

  AI Studio is enabled per organization via feature flag. If you do not see AI Studio in the navigation bar, contact your Commure representative to enable it.

## How It Works

AI Studio settings let you define how your notes are generated. Configure formatting rules and dot phrases once, and they apply every time the AI generates a note for you.

For example, you can set preferences like detailed bullet points for one type of encounter and concise paragraphs for another.

## How It Improves

Beyond the settings you configure explicitly, AI Studio learns from the edits you make to generated notes. The [Smart Suggestions](/classic/ambient_ai/smart-suggestions) tab lists reusable settings — such as personal dictionary entries and dot phrases — that the AI infers from your editing patterns, and lets you approve each one to apply it to future scribes.

  Changes made in AI Studio apply to future notes only. Existing notes are not affected by formatting rule changes.
